Ubuntu 下安装 RealPlayer 播放器的方法：

1. 先到 RealPlayer 官方网站上下载 RealPlayer 播放器：http://www.real.com/linux/?src=020923home_cn_cn（到 2009 年 3 月 25 日最新版为 RealPlayer 11），将文件 RealPlayer11GOLD.bin 保存到主文件夹中，即/home/[yourusername] 文件夹下。
2. 然后打开终端，依次输入如下命令：
   

   chmod +x RealPlayer11GOLD.bin
   sudo ./RealPlayer11GOLD.bin

3. 当终端显示：
   Welcome to the RealPlayer (11.0.1.1056) Setup for UNIX
   Setup will help you get RealPlayer running on your computer.
   Press [Enter] to continue....
   时按下回车键，进入下一步。
4. 当终端显示：
   Enter the complete path to the directory where you want
   RealPlayer to be installed. You must specify the full
   pathname of the directory and have write privileges to
   the chosen directory.
   Directory: [/opt/real/RealPlayer]:
   这里默认安装到用户的主文件夹下的 RealPlayer 目录下，如果你想要安装到别处，就在此处输入路径，否则直接回车即可。
5. 当终端显示：
   You have selected the following RealPlayer configuration:

   Destination: /opt/real/RealPlayer

   Enter [F]inish to begin copying files, or [P]revious to go
   back to the previous prompts: [F]:
   安装程序会提示最后确定信息，如果都确定了，按下 F 键后回车。

6. 完成安装。到应用程序－影音，里面就已经有 RealPlayer 11 了。

另外，RalPlayer 可能和 Ubuntu 中的 SCIM 输入法有冲突，解决方法看相关链接。

再另，直接在终端输入 sudo apt-get install realplayer 是没用的。
